Amarillo, TX 12/8/09 - The Amarillo Gorillas will continue to spread holiday cheer throughout the Panhandle in the coming weeks. From libraries to television, always stay informed by visiting http://www.amarillogorillas.com/local/index.php for updated community appearances.
Tuesday, December 8th: Director of Media Relations & Broadcasting Cody Eastwood at the Downtown Lion's Club, 12pm-1pm, 1410 South Polk Street, Amarillo, TX.
Wednesday, December 9th: Jason Chafe, Andrew Smale, Anthony Battaglia, & Neil Smith at Whataburger, 4pm-6pm, the first 20 fans present at the event wearing their "Gorillas gear" will receive a FREE Whataburger hamburger! 2424 Georgia Street South, Amarillo, TX.
Thursday, December 10th: Jake Morissette, Jake Obermeyer, & Stomp at BSA Hospital's Children's Unit, 4pm-5pm, BSA Hospital.
Friday, December 11th: Jason Beeman & Chris Cloud on News Channel 10 in the morning, 7:20am. Stay tuned for updated information later this week.
Monday, December 14th: Stomp & Gorillas staff at Meals on Wheels, 10am-11am.
Tuesday, December 22nd: Stuart MacRae & Stomp at the Northwest Branch Library reading holiday books & dancing, 7pm-7:30pm, 6100 SW 9th, Amarillo, TX.
Fans who donate a toy at December home games 11th, 12th, 13th, & 19th will have the opportunity to purchase a $10 game ticket valid for the same game night. Present your toy at the Amarillo Civic Center box office or the Gorillas office on the day of the game.
On Saturday, December 12th, the Gorillas are asking fans to bring in teddy bears or other stuffed animals to throw onto the ice after Amarillo's first goal of the game. All stuffed animals being thrown during the annual "Teddy Bear Toss" will be donated to Toys for Tots. Also Saturday, the Gorillas will be giving away 1,000 rally towels.
The Gorillas continue their longest home stand of the season Friday night, December 11th versus the Colorado Eagles. The first 250 fans through the gates will receive a free mini goalie stick! Come early (doors open at 6pm) and enjoy the show. Call 806.242.PUCK.
