Alyssa Thomas Makes WNBA History to Close out the 2022 Season

Uncasville, CT - The Connecticut Sun ended its 20th Anniversary season in a disappointing 78-71 loss in Game 4 of the 2022 WNBA Finals to the Las Vegas Aces. Five Sun players ended the game in double figures (Bonner, Thomas, J. Jones, Williams, B. Jones).
Despite, the well-balanced attack by Connecticut, Alyssa Thomas rose above the rest, notching her second triple-double in as many games. In Game 3, she had 16 points, 15 rebounds, 11 assists, one block and two steals; followed by a performance of 11 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists, two blocks and two steals to close out her 2022 season.
Thomas' performance in Games 3 and 4 made her the first player to tally a triple-double in a Finals game, the first player to get a two triple-doubles in the same Finals series, the first player to notch two triple-doubles in back to back games (regular season or playoffs), and the first player to amass four triple-doubles in a single season in WNBA History.
Thomas will be heading back overseas to Prague, where she will play for ZVVZ USK Praha in the off-season.
