
Alouettes to play in Halifax

Montreal, Jan. 26, 2006 - The Montreal Alouettes will play in the Maritimes for the second time in franchise history, as they face the Ottawa Renegades in a pre-season game this June 3 at 4 p.m. (local) in Touchdown Atlantic 2006. The game will be broadcast nationally on both TSN and RDS.
The Canadian Football League will showcase its talent in a second pre-season game in Halifax in as many seasons. The Toronto Argonauts and Hamilton Tiger-Cats battled to a 16-16 tie in front of 11,000 fans at Saint-Mary's Huskies Stadium on June 11, 2005 in the first edition of the successful event.
In their only other Atlantic appearance, in 1986, the Alouettes lost 36-10 to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in a preseason game held at Canada Games Stadium in Saint John, New Brunswick.
