Alouettes Announce Hiring of David Messier

Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes are pleased to announce that David Messier has joined the organization as Principal Director, Communications and Branding. David will officially begin his new role with the Alouettes on Monday, June 3, just in time for the start of the 2013 season.

David has spent the last eight years working for Groupe Sportscene, where he played a major role in organizing Lucian Bute's World Championship bouts as well as other InterBox events. He also accomplished important tasks in the communications and marketing departments for La Cage aux Sports restaurants.

"We are thrilled to welcome David to the Alouettes family," said Alouettes C.O.O. Mark Weightman. "His accomplishments with Groupe Sportscene are impressive and the experience he has acquired in the sporting world will be a great asset for our organization for years to come."

With the Alouettes, David will supervise the marketing, content, and communications teams, as well as both media and community relations.
