June 26, 2015 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Madison Mallards News Release
Madison, WI - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics make up the acronym, STEM and the Madison Mallards and Alliant Energy have announced a STEM Fair Contest for July 9th. Kids of all ages can submit their STEM concepts and ideas on MallardsBaseball.com for a chance to display their idea at the Mallards game on July 9th. Alliant Energy will choose the top five ideas as winners for the contest.
"There is nothing quite like a child's imagination," said Julie Bauer, executive director of the Alliant Energy Foundation. "We are happy to join the Mallards in setting young minds loose to come up with creative ideas that can be put into action. We are excited to see what we get."
Winners will receive two VIP tickets to the game, an opportunity for a first pitch, and a place to display their STEM idea inside the Mallards front gates.
"The Mallards and Alliant Energy have been partners for a long time and we are excited to promote STEM and the vital role it plays in education," said Mallards General Manager Tyler Isham. "We are thrilled to be offering this contest to the community as a way to highlight the importance of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to Dane County youth."
