
Allen's Three-Point Heave Forces Overtime But Go-Go Prevail

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks (16-9), the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, forced overtime but was unable to do anything more as the team fell to the Capital City Go-Go (11-9), 90-89, Sunday afternoon at the Westchester County Center.
Kadeem Allen banked in a three from the top of the key with just a second remaining in regulation to knot the score at 89 apiece following a closely contested battle. The Knicks led by as many as eight while the Go-Go's largest command stood at six.
In the extra session, Westchester and Capital City had three and two empty possessions, respectively. On the game's final sequence, Capital City's Chris Chiozza was fouled and gifted two free-throws. He converted one but with under a second remaining, left no practical chance for the hosts and the final was settled.
John Jenkins paced Westchester with his fourth consecutive game in the 20-point column, ending with 22. He also led the team with seven assists for a second straight time and sank three triples.
Stephen Zimmerman finished with his second straight double-double made up of 17 points and 12 rebounds including eight on the offensive glass, marking the most by any Knick this season. Allen contributed 15 points, five dimes and seven rebounds while Zak Irvin pocketed another double-double of 10 points and 10 boards.
For Capital City, Jordan McCrae gave 26 points on 33.3-percent shooting. Chiozza added 12 points and a team-high seven assists. Devin Robinson's double-double stemmed from 23 points and 10 rebounds.
The Knicks gave up 24 points on 23 turnovers but won the second-chance points battle 17-5. Capital City even this season's series, 1-1.
Westchester commences a three-game road trip beginning at Rio Grande Valley, Friday, January 11.
