Allen's Jamie Schaafsma Leads Oakley Three Stars for February

GLENDALE, AZ (March 1, 2013) - Allen Americans forward Jamie Schaafsma, Tulsa Oilers forward Ryan Menei and Quad City Mallard forward Mickey Lang have been named the "ËOakley Three Stars' for the month of February/2013.

Players are awarded five points for being a game's first star, three points for being named the second star and a single point for being named the third star of the game. Keep up with the season-long standings and quest to be the Oakley Three Star Player of the Year at www.centralhockeyleague.com.
The season-long race has Lang on top with 48 points, two more than Arizona's Chad Nehring (46 points) and three points more than Sebastien Thinel (45 points).
First Star - Jamie Schaafsma, F, Allen Americans
Schaafsma finished with 20 points in the month of February earning the first star twice, the second star three times and the third star once. On the season, the Blenheim, Ontario native has 22 goals and 21 assists and is a +14 for the first place Allen Americans.
Second Star - Ryan Menei, F, Tulsa Oilers
Menei was named first star twice and second star three times during a month that saw him score 11 goals with eight assists in 11 games. The highlight of the month for Menei came in the first few days of February when he scored seven goals with one assist in back-to-back wins.
Third Star - Mickey Lang, F, Quad City Mallards
Lang leads the three stars standings for the season and in February he was named the first star twice and the second star three times. On the season, Lang has 29 goals and 35 assists and in February he was finished with six goals and nine assists.
