
All-Star Odut Returns; Russian Prospect Toupikov Signs

Missouri River Otters News Release
The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League agreed to terms with Mark Odut, an all-star forward with the River Otters last season.
"Mark had a tremendous rookie season and we're thrilled to have him back," River Otters Head Coach Kevin Kaminski said. "He's a fierce competitor who is very gifted offensively. Mark played in all situations for us last season and we will benefit from his well-rounded game."
Odut, 25, scored 24 goals, tied for second on the club, and added 17 assists in 71 games for the River Otters last season. The 5'11'', 190-pound forward was selected to play in the 2005 UHL All-Star Classic. He played three years of junior hockey with the S.A.I.T. Trojans of the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC), scoring 52 goals and dishing out 65 assists in 84 games.
The River Otters also agreed to terms with Dmitri Toupikov, a Russian winger who finished second in the Central Junior Hockey League (CJHL) last season with 33 goals in 52 games while playing for the Cornwall Colts. The 6'0'', 175-pound forward also dished out 35 assists and finished seventh in the CJHL with 68 points.
