(Bridgeport, Conn. - June 18, 2015) - The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced that local band McLovins will play a live set during the 2015 Atlantic League All-Star Block Party in Downtown Bridgeport on Tuesday, July 7th. McLovins are a four-man jam band, formed in 2009 and based out of Hartford, Connecticut. The group specializes in "the creation of dynamic and improvised sound, influenced by the members' disparate and eclectic music influences."

"We can't wait for these young men to perform during our special event," says Bluefish General Manager Jamie Toole. "They are extremely talented and will add a great vibe to our All-Star Block Party."

The Bluefish will shut down Fairfield Avenue in Downtown Bridgeport on Tuesday, July 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to host the All-Star Block Party. Besides the special live music from McLovins, there will also be a performance by Jim Royle Drum Studio Steel Band Ensemble, as well as plenty of food and appearances by the All-Star players and the Atlantic League team mascots. Admission to the Block Party is free, with a suggested donation of $10 to support the Bridgeport Caribe Youth Baseball League.
