Kingston comes to Flint tied for second place in the Eastern Conference but have loss their past three games. The Frontenacs fell 5-4 in a shootout on Friday in Windsor before Saginaw won 4-3 in overtime last night. Sunday marks the second and final game Flint and Kingston will play this season.

On special teams, the Firebirds are operating at 15.9% on the power-play while Kingston scores 17.8% of the time. The Firebirds have scored at least one power-play goal in each of the last four games. Flint is 69.9% on the penalty-kill and Kingston holds the OHL's second best PK at 85.9%.

Players to Watch:

Flint Firebirds (7-15-2-0, 5th West Division):

The Firebirds acquired forward Connor Roberts in a trade with the Hamilton Bulldogs Saturday morning. Roberts was the third-overall pick in the 2016 OHL Draft and the first forward to be selected. He will make his debut in Flint Sunday afternoon.

Maurizio Colella leads the Firebirds with 18 points (8G, 10A) in 23 games played this season. Ty Dellandrea is averaging a point-per-game with five points in the last five games and is second on the Firebirds roster with 16 points (7G, 9A). Despite Jake Durham's three-game point-streak ending Friday he is third on the Firebirds roster with 15 points (3G, 12A).

In the Firebirds most recent game, Jalen Smereck (Arizona Coyotes) recorded his first point since being returned from the Arizona Coyotes Wednesday. CJ Clarke scored the Firebirds' lone-goal Friday and has points in three of his last five games.

Between-the-pipes, Garrett Forrest has played in 20 of the Firebirds' 24 games this season. Forrest has a 4.70 goals against average (GAA) and a .864 save percentage (SAV%). Forrest has earned all seven of Flint's wins this season. Rookie goaltender Luke Cavallin was in net this past Wednesday and has a 4.90 GAA and a .863 SAV%. Cavallin was the highest selected netminder in the 2017 OHL Draft in April.

NHL: The Firebirds have three players that have NHL ties consisting of Fedor Gordeev (Toronto Maple Leafs), Nicholas Mattinen (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Jalen Smereck (Arizona Coyotes). Additionally, Dennis Busby, Ty Dellandrea, Hunter Holmes, Ryan Littlejohn and Evan Morrison, Connor Roberts and Jack Wismer are seven first time eligible players to be selected in the NHL Entry Draft in June 2018. Busby, Dellandrea, Holmes, Roberts and Wismer were listed among NHL Central Scouting's November 'Players to Watch' list for the upcoming 2018 NHL Draft.

Kingston Frontenacs (12-7-3-0, T-2nd East Division):

Four different Frontenacs are on three-game point-streaks. Kingston is led up front by Northville, Mich. native and Dallas Stars draft pick Jason Robertson. Robertson is 16th in the OHL with 29 points (16G, 13A) in 24 games and is on a three-game point-streak. Also on the same streak are Helsinki, Finland native Linus Nyman with 28 points (9G, 19A in 24 games, Tyler Burnie who has points in 12 of his last 15 games ad Nathan Dunkley who had three assists last night in Saginaw.

In net, Jeremy Helvig (Carolina Hurricanes) is fifth in the OHL statistically with a 2.70 GAA and a .914 SAV%. Former Saginaw Spirit netminder Brenan Bonello is the Frontenacs back-up goaltender and holds a 4.50 GAA and a .857 SAV%.

NHL: Kingston has four players that have been drafted in the NHL consisting of Jeremy Helvig (Carolina Hurricanes), Jacob Paquette (Nashville Predators), Eemeli Rasanen (Toronto Maple Leafs) and Jason Robertson (Dallas Stars).

Eight notable Kingston alumni to play in the NHL area Sean Avery, Sam Bennett, Phil Bourque, Lawson Crouse, Paul Coffey, Mike Gillis, Brian Lashoff and Andrew Raycroft.

Sunday afternoon's contest against the Kingston Frontenacs can be heard live on the radio throughout Flint & Mid-Michigan on US 103.1 FM, online at www.us103.com or by downloading the US 103 app here. Dominic Hennig will call the play-by-play action on the Flint Firebirds Hockey Radio Network. Pregame coverage will begin 30 minutes prior to puck drop at 3:30 p.m.

Sunday's game against the Frontenacs will also be televised live in Kingston on YourTV for Cogeco cable subscribers on channel 13 / 700 HD. In addition, the game will be televised live province-wide throughout Ontario on the OHL Action Pak on channel 440 for both Rogers TV cable subscribers and channel 481 for Cogeco TV cable subscribers. OHL fans with cable television in Ontario can add the OHL Action Pak to their television plan to catch the Firebirds in action, home or away all season long. Flint returns home to the Dort Federal Event Center this Friday, Dec. 1 for the Firebirds' third-annual "Ugly Sweater Night." Join us Friday as the Firebirds will be wearing special Ugly Sweater Jerseys that fans will have the chance to bid on during a live action immediately after the game. All proceeds will be donated to The Old Newsboys of Flint, a non-profit organization that serves underprivileged children in the community. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. against the Hamilton Bulldogs.
