Calgary Hitmen News Release

Red Deer, AB - Washington Capitals prospect Alexander Alexeyev scored a pair of goals to lead the Red Deer Rebels past the Calgary Hitmen 3-1 on Tuesday night at the ENMAX Centrium.

Brandon Hagel, into an empty net, also scored for the Rebels who improve to 3-0 in the season series.

Egor Zamula, on a first period power play, tallied the lone goal for Calgary. The loss snaps a season-high three-game winning streak for the Hitmen.

Both goaltenders were among the three stars with Carl Stankowski making 28 saves for Calgary and Ethan Anders recording 29 stops for Red Deer.

Calgary now returns home for four straight games at the Scotiabank Saddledome beginning Friday, Oct. 26 against the Lethbridge Hurricanes. That night is Roughnecks Night at the 'Dome and will feature the same Hitmen hockey but with Roughnecks in-game entertainment, chants and giveaways!
