Alejandro Moreno from Chivas USA Receives Call from the Vinotinto Once Again

CARSON, CA. (Tuesday, August 30, 2011) - Chivas USA informed today that Venezuelan veteran forward for Chivas USA Alejandro Moreno has returned this week to his native Venezuela in preparation for next week's match against Guinea scheduled for Tuesday September 6 in Caracas' Estadio Olimpico de la Universidad Central. This is Moreno's second call up so far this year, in which La Vinotinto has become a significant national symbol that is generating much international praise after their exceptional run at Copa America in Argentina earlier this summer.

Moreno who is having a solid season with the Red and White has 5 goals on the season including 2 assists in 17 appearances so far. It is expected that Ale will return in time for the Goats next match at The Home Depot Center on Saturday September 10.

As the season draws closer to its end Chivas USA will return to action on Saturday September 10 after the Labor Day and well deserved lay-off and face off against East Coast foes DC United in Carson at The Home Depot Center. The match is scheduled for kick off at 7:30 pm (Pacific Time), and will be broadcast on TV through KDOC-TV and KWHY Channel 22, and Radio on W Radio 690 AM.
