Albany Roster Reduced to 26 Players

East Rutherford, NJ - New Jersey Devils CEO/President/General Manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that the American Hockey League's Albany River Rats have reduced their roster to 26 players by designating three players for assignment and releasing four players.

Awaiting assignment are goaltender Matus Kostur, defenseman Anton Kadeykin, and forward Ken Magowan. Released outright were defenseman Alex Andreyev and forwards Justin Dziama, Sam Ftorek, and Joey Tenute.

Albany's current depth chart is as follows (alphabetically):

Goaltenders (2): Ari Ahonen and Scott Clemmensen.

Defensemen (9): Bobby Allen, Alex Brooks, Phil Cole, Matt DeMarchi, David Hale, Teemu Kesa, Krisjanis Redlihs, Ray Schultz, and Steven Spencer.

Forwards (15): Brett Clouthier, Adrian Foster, Cam Janssen, Eric Johansson, Ivan Khomutov, Dean McAmmond, Ryan Murphy, Ahren Nittel, Zach Parise, Tuomas Pihlman, Ilkka Pikkarainen, Pascal Rheaume, Rob Skrlac, Aleksander Suglobov, and Aaron Voros.

Albany will resume its training camp tomorrow at the Bethlehem Area YMCA in Delmar, NY.
