Mon., Jan. 16, Albany 5 vs. Adirondack 3
In a 60 minute game, the Devils only needed 28 minutes to build a large enough lead to hold on for a 5-3 win against the Phantoms at the Times Union Center. The Devils used five different goal scorers, Nathan Perkovich, Matt Anderson, Jacob Josefson, Tim Sestito and Brad Mills, to jump out to a 5-0 advantage by the midway point. Between the pipes, Jeff Frazee made 32 saves for his third-consecutive victory.

Wed., Jan. 18, Albany 4 vs. Norfolk 5
The Devils let a 3-1 first-period lead slip and the Admirals skated away from the Times Union Center with a 5-4 win. Stephane Veilleux netted a hat trick in the opening period, but Norfolk responded with four goals in the second period, including Norfolk's Mike Angelidis' game-winning tally at 16:38. Chad Wiseman netted the Devils other goal and Keith Kinkaid made 21 stops.

Fri., Jan. 20, Albany 2 at Adirondack 3
The Devils struck first, but the Phantoms netted three goals in the second period and eventually claimed a 3-2 win at the Glens Falls Civic Center. Chad Wiseman had a goal and an assist and Mike Sislo contributed the team's first goal. In goal, Jeff Frazee turned away 33 stops, including 17 in the second period.

Sat., Jan. 21, Albany 5 at Springfield 2
Joe Whitney had a first-period hat trick and Kory Nagy added a pair of goals, helping the Devils defeat the Falcons, 5-2, at the MassMutual Center. Albany established a four-goal lead in the first period before allowing Springfield to pull within two in the third. Nagy sealed the win with less than three minutes to play. Tim Sestito and Mattias Tedenby each posted two assists and goaltender Keith Kinkaid made 28 stops.

Notables
- The Devils 5-2 win at Springfield Saturday marked the fifth time Albany has scored five or more goals in a single game. The other three include: against Adirondack (W, 5-2) on Oct. 22, at Hershey (W, 6-5 SO) on Nov. 19, at Norfolk (W, 5-4 OT) on Jan. 6 and against Adirondack (W, 5-3) on Jan. 16.
- Stephane Veilleux and Joe Whitney each registered first-period hat tricks during two separate games this week. Veilleux netted three in a 5-4 loss against Norfolk Wednesday and Whitney had the trifecta in a 5-2 win at Springfield Saturday. Additionally, Chad Wiseman had a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick" at Adirondack Friday. He had a goal, an assist and a fight.
- Tim Sestito and Vladimir Zharkov are both enjoying four-game point streaks. Sestito has a goal and four assists during the span and Zharkov has four assists. In Sestito's last six AHL outings, he has posted two goals and four assists. In Zharkov's last 11 AHL contests, he has registered four goals and seven assists.
- Mattias Tedenby and Steve Zalewski were both sent to Albany by New Jersey this past week. Tedenby made his AHL season debut at Springfield Saturday and posted two assists. Zalewski was returned Sunday after playing seven games in the NHL.
- Peter Harrold, the only Albany player to appear in all 41 games, has been recalled by New Jersey. He has produced 12 points with a goal and 11 assists. Additionally, he has posted a plus-3 rating and 26 penalty minutes.
