
B-Sens Host "Battle of the Badges" this Saturday

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today the details of the Second Annual I-81 Battle of the Badges which is set to take place Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
Members of the Binghamton police and fire departments will take on members of the Wilkes-Barre area police and fire departments at 4:30 p.m. in a special hockey game to raise awareness for and benefit the American Heart Association.
Jim Free of 92.5 WKGB-FM's "Freezone in the Morning" and Glenn Pitcher of 98.1 The Hawk will serve as celebrity bench coaches for the Binghamton team, while Tejay Schwartz of Magic 101.7 will serve as the game's P.A. announcer.
Following the charity game, the Senators will host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m.
As part of festivities, the American Heart Association will have a display on the arena concourse where they will be selling red carnations and 50/50 raffle tickets.
Discount tickets can be purchased for $15 and include admission to both the Battle of the Badges and the B-Sens game. $2 from each ticket sold through this special offer will be donated to the American Heart Association.
