
Alan Letang Joins Attack Staff

The Owen Sound Attack is pleased to announce that Alan Letang has joined the club as the teams new Assistant Coach.
Letang, 40 was most recently the Assistant Coach for the Zagreb Medvescak of the KHL, where he played from 2009-2014, serving as the Captain of the club. A native of Renfrew, ON. Alan is a graduate of the Ontario Hockey League, having spent four seasons with the Royals/Sting franchise before pursuing a professional career that spanned almost twenty years. After retiring as a player in 2014, Letang stepped behind the bench of Zagreb Medvescak.
"Alan is extremely well respected by his peers, his former teammates and the players who played for him.", stated Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. "He has extensive experience as a player and experience as an Assistant Coach in one of the best leagues in the world. He is a student of the game and we feel his knowledge and ability to communicate will be a tremendous asset to our organization, working alongside Ryan McGill."
Over the course of his professional career, Alan played fourteen games in the National Hockey League, split between Dallas, Calgary and the New York Islanders.
"While i'm thankful for my time with Zagreb Medvescak, I am very excited to start this new challenge with the Owen Sound Attack.", said Letang. "I have had the chance to sit down and talk with Dale and Ryan and am very confident that this is a great fit. I'm energized and motivated to get started and am really looking forward to this opportunity."
The Attack welcome Alan and his family to the Attack organization.
