AirHogs take game 1 over the Diablos 11-3

El Paso, TX- Game was one was a tough outing for the Diablos as they fell against the Grand Prairie AirHogs 11-3, in the first of their four game series against the AirHogs.

From an offensive stand point, both teams had a very slow start, with only one run throughout the first four innings, the AirHogs had a narrow 1-0 lead through the first third of the game, starting pitcher Kevin Brahney was solid through the first four innings only giving up one run, on two hits, with four strikeouts.

The game turned though, as the AirHogs tacked on four runs in the fifth inning to take a commanding 5-0 lead over the Diablos. After another run in the sixth inning by the AirHogs, the Diablos responded with two runs of their own to cut the lead down to four.

Despite the Diablos efforts to come back, the AirHogs added on five more runs in the last two innings to extend their lead to eight, and eventually won by a final score of 11-3.

The Diablos are now 11-39 this season with three more games against the Grand Prairie AirHogs in their four game series. The Diablos play tomorrow night, 6:05 here at Cohen Stadium!
