
Airhogs lose second straight

Grand Prairie, TX (06.11.08) - It was déjà vu at QuikTrip Park on Wednesday night, as the Grand Prairie AirHogs dropped their second game in a row to the Fort Worth Cats by the same score, 2-1.
The Cats scored the go ahead run in the top of the eighth. Ed Montague drilled a triple to the gap in right center field that brought in Jake Gautreau from first base.
Fort Worth scored their first run in the top of the fourth inning. With runners on the corner and one down, Ed Montague hit a sacrifice fly to right field plating Nelson Teilon.
Grand Prairie tied it up in the bottom of the fifth inning at 1-1. David Espinosa reached on a walk with two outs. He would score on a double off the wall in right field off the bat of J.B. Tucker.
The AirHogs stranded ten runners on base during the game. They left the tying run on first to end the game in the bottom of the ninth.
Nat Harris got the start for Grand Prairie and pitched solid in the no decision. He lasted seven innings and gave up one run, it was earned, with six hits and one walk with four strikeouts. Aaron Jenkins (0-1) got the loss, surrendering a run in .2 innings worked in the top of the eighth.
Lee Gwaltney (2-2) earned the victory for the Cats. He lasted seven innings and gave up one earned run, six hits, four walks, and three strikeouts. Jon Hunton notched his eighth save, his second in two games, pitching a perfect ninth.
The AirHogs will wrap up a three game series with Fort Worth on Thursday. First pitch is set for 6:05 PM.
