GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas - The Texas AirHogs dropped the series finale vs. the Chicago Dogs Friday, falling in a slugfest 10-6. The contest was the final of the year vs. the Dogs. Texas and Chicago split the season series with three wins apiece.
Miguel Rosario got the start for Texas and allowed six hits and six runs (six earned) over four innings. His counterpart Josh Goossen-Brown also allowed six earned runs over four innings. Rosario would take the loss to slip to 1-8 on the season. Goossen-Brown took a no-decision.
Casio Grider and Dillon Thomas scored in the first to help the AirHogs to an early 2-1 lead. Correlle Prime picked up an RBI double to help the AirHogs to the advantage.
That edge would disappear in the fourth when the Dogs tagged Rosario for five runs. Texas struck back for four runs in the fourth and fifth but would draw no closer than 7-6. A Trey Vavra home run in the eighth would put the contest out of reach.
