Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release

Amarillo- The Grand Prairie AirHogs could not match up with the red hot Amarillo Sox Thursday night at Sox Stadium, dropping the four-game series finale 10-4. The AirHogs could only manage to take one game from the Sox and remain in third in the South Division standings. Most of the damage in the finale came in the fifth inning when the Sox scored eight runs. The AirHogs, leading the entire game until that point, found themselves in a hole they could not dig themselves out of. Though some players put in a great effort in the loss. Andres Rodriguez went 3-for-4 scoring a run. Yasutsugu Nishimoto went 1-for-2 with three RBI's. Kenny Held went deep for his third home run of the year on his only hit in the game. The blast was a solo shot.

Gabriel Garcia picked up the loss for the AirHogs going 4.2 innings allowing eight runs on five hits and striking out three. Jakob Cunningham pitched two innings allowing one run on four hits. Cunningham managed to strike out one Sox player. David Quinowski closed out the game with 1.1 innings of work allowing one run on one hit and striking out three.

The AirHogs travel to El Paso to take on the Diablos for another three-game series. That series is set to start Friday night at 7:05 P.M. at Cohen Stadium.
