Lincoln 6, Sioux City 2

The Lincoln Saltdogs used a three run eighth inning to overcome a 2-2 tie with the Sioux City Explorers and tacked on one more in the ninth inning to win 6-2.

CF Michael Coles had a good night out of the lead off spot, homering and driving in two runs while scoring two of his own. LF Matt Forgatch also did well in the cleanup spot, going 1-4 with a double and three RBI's.

Luis Chirinos threw 5.1 innings as the Saltdogs starter, striking out two, walking two, and allowing two runs en route to the win. It was his first game for the Saltdogs this season.

Wichita 10, Newark 8

The Wichita Wingnuts went into the top of the ninth down 8-3. It seemed to be all but over for them but they managed a five-run rally to push the game into extra innings. The Wingnuts would then score two more runs in the top of the tenth to cap off an incredible comeback.

2B Jake Kahaulelio and 1B C.J. Ziegler both had three hit games and were crucial to the team in their come from behind victory. Kahaulelio drove in one run and scored another while Ziegler scored twice and grabbed two RBI's.

The Wingnuts bullpen also played a big role in the victory, with three different pitchers throwing shutout innings to keep the team in the game. Daniel Bennett, Andrew Aizenstad, and Josh Dew combined to throw three innings and strike out four batters while allowing just one hit.

Fargo-Moorhead 6, Winnipeg 3

Down by one run in the bottom of the ninth, the RedHawks needed some big hitting to get passed the Winnipeg Goldeyes. RF Jeremiah Piepkorn did just that with a one-out walk off grand slam to send Fargo-Moorhead to victory.

Pipkorn was 2-4 on the night with a single along with the slam. 2B C.J. Retherford was 2-4 as well with one run and one RBI.

Nathan Kilcrease grabbed the win for the RedHawks after his 2.1 relief innings to close out the game. He didn't allow a single batter to reach base in his outing and struck out two.

Amarillo 11, Laredo 7

The Amarillo Sox used a great offensive night to pick up an 11-7 victory over the Laredo Lemurs.

CF Jason Martin, RF Chris Valencia, and DH Cory Patton each had three hits during the game to add to the team's 16 total. The three combined for four RBI's, two walks, and a run.

Josh Giles pitched a single inning of shutout relief to grab his second win of the season while Erik Draxton picked up his 12th save while striking out three over two innings.

Kansas City 3, Sioux Falls 2

It was a long, low scoring game between the T-Bones and the Canaries but in the end Kansas City would take a 3-2 victory after scoring a run in the top of the eleventh inning.

The Kansas City pitching was great all night starting with Ethan Cole, who threw seven innings and let up just two runs to keep his team in the game. Chad Robinson would get the win after shutting Sioux Falls down in the bottom of the eleventh.

RF Luis Rivera would put the team ahead in the eleventh with a solo homerun. He went 2-5 on the night.
