Fish Rally in 12th to Come Back and Beat 'Dogs

WINNIPEG, Man. -- The Winnipeg Goldeyes (37-33) scored three runs in the bottom of the 12th to come back at down the Saltdogs (37-35) 8-7 in front of 5,265 fans at Shaw Park Thursday night.

After Lincoln plated two runs in the top of the 12th, the Goldeyes got a sac fly, RBI single from Luis Alen, and the game winner from Kevin Moesquit.

Ian Gac went 5-for-6 with a home run and three RBI in a losing effort.

Stayton Thomas pitched three terrific shutout innings of relief. R.J. Rodriguez (0-2) allowed three runs on three hits in 1/3 of an innings to suffer the loss, and just his second blown save in 25 opportunities.

Winnipeg overcame a 5-1 deficit with four runs in the sixth.

Kaohi Downing (3-4) allowed two runs on three hits in one innings but vultured the win.

David Espinosa, Curt Smith and Sean O'Connell all had multi-hit nights.

The 'Dogs open a three-game set at Sioux City Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Radio coverage begins at 6:35 p.m. on KFOR 1240.
