Grand Prairie AirHogs News Release
Laredo- The Grand Prairie AirHogs (42-37) had a lot going for them Saturday night except for runs as they fall 4-1 at Uni-Trade Stadium. The AirHogs were able to combine for 14 hits but it did not translate into runs for them. Scoring the only run was Yasutsugu Nishimoto who went 1-for-3. He was driven in by Chad Mozingo who was 2-for-4 in the game. Ryan Pineda went 3-for-5 raisin his batting average to .314. Andres Rodriguez and Angel Flores each went 2-for-5 and Austin Newell went 2-for-4. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to beat the Lemurs of Laredo who got four runs on nine combined hits.
Picking up the loss was Josh Strawn who allowed four runs on eight hits. Strawn went seven innings and struck out one Lemur. Pitching the eighth inning was Chase Johnson who allowed only one hit but no runs.
Laredo and Grand Prairie will meet at Uni-Trade Stadium one more time in this four-game series. Down 2 games to 1, the AirHogs hope to even out the series with a victory Sunday night at 7:30 P.M.
