Oklahoma Warriors News Release
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas-The Oklahoma Warriors suffered a 4-2 defeat to the Corpus Christi IceRays at American Bank Center on Friday.
William Ahlrik and Nathan Rickey each scored for Oklahoma, who did not lead throughout the game. The two-goal loss is only the second multi-goal defeat this season.
The IceRays put forth their best effort of the year against the Warriors with a packed arena of fans behind them. It was a win two seasons in the making: Corpus Christi's last win over the Warriors came on March 4, 2022, when the organization was based out of Wichita Falls. The Warriors had won 13 straight contests head-to-head.
Daniel Duris made 25 saves on 27 shots in the loss. Corpus Christi scored two empty-netters, which are not charged against a goaltender's record, in the final two minutes of play.
The Oklahoma Warriors are home against the Corpus Christi IceRays on Friday, November 17 and Saturday, November 18. The team will wear specialty jerseys to benefit The Toby Keith Foundation and OK Kids Korral. Puck drops at 7:15 p.m. at Blazers Ice Centre in Oklahoma City.
