Leesburg, VA. - Washington Spirit forward Ashley Hatch has been named NWSL Player of the Month and midfielder Andi Sullivan has been named to the NWSL Team of the Month for July. Hatch was named the Budweiser NWSL Player of the Week for Week 9 of the regular season.
In the month of July, Hatch played a total of 400 minutes in five matches played. During that time, she added three goals on three shots to take the lead in the NWSL scoring race, including two goals in the 2-0 victory over North Carolina.
Sullivan has been the heartbeat of the midfield for the Spirit ever since her arrival in 2018 but this year has become even more apparent this season. The Spirit captain played every minute in all five matches during the month of July. In that time, she recorded two assists including the pass to Hatch to complete her brace against North Carolina.
Hatch, Sullivan and the rest of the Spirit roster return to action on Saturday, August 7 at 7:30 p.m. ET against the Portland Thorns at Segra Field. To purchase your tickets, click here.
