IN THE COMMUNITY
Day of Caring: Thursday, September 4. Admirals staffers will spend the day cleaning the freezer and delivering food for the Foodbank of Hampton Roads. As part of the United Way of South Hampton Roads' Day of Caring, mascot Hat Trick will also make an appearance at the volunteer picnic.
Salute to Teachers: Friday, September 12 at Regent University in Virginia Beach. As part of their educational partnerships, the Admirals are sponsors for this annual event. The university's School of Education will recognize approximately 300 of this region's "Teachers of the Year".
Hockey 101 Program: Monday, September 15 at Kinder Care Learning Center in Virginia Beach. Community Relations Manager Millie Lomax and Fan Satisfaction Manager Ryan Williams will appear at the center to discuss the sport of hockey and demonstrate how the game is played. Participants will be able to see and try on hockey equipment and have the opportunity to hold a stick and pass the puck, at 3:30 p.m.
HRYHA Jr. Admirals Golf Tournament: Wednesday, September 17 at Cypress Point Country Club in Virginia Beach. The Admirals are proud to once again sponsor and participate in the Hampton Roads Youth Hockey Association's annual tournament.
SeaFest XXII: Wednesday, September 17 at the Hampton Coliseum. When "SeaFest in Space" kicks off, the Admirals will have a table with information, chances to win a prize and the Frank Mathers Trophy on display. SeaFest XXII is from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
