Milwaukee Admirals News Release

Paced by two goals and two assists by forward Darren Haydar the Milwaukee Admirals topped the Grand Rapids Griffins 5-3 on Saturday night. The Admirals win, coupled with Houston's 6-5 loss to Chicago, gives Milwaukee their second West Division Crown in three years. The Ads won the division back in 2004, en route to the Calder Cup Title.

Milwaukee will open the 2006 Calder Cup Playoffs versus the Iowa Stars, who went 9-1 in their last ten games to secure the final playoff spot. Game one of the West Division semi-final match-up will take place at the Bradley Center on Friday, April 21st at 7:00 pm followed by Game 2 of the series on Saturday, April 22nd at 7:00 pm, also at the Bradley Center.

The teams will then head to Iowa for games three, four, and, if necessary, five before returning to the Bradley Center for possible games six and seven. Should the teams need game six and/or seven, the dates and times of those contests will be determined after the National Basketball Association playoff schedule is set.
