Three recalled by Oilers, Halak reasigned

The Edmonton Oilers have recalled left-winger Jean-Francois Jacques as well as defencemen Mathieu Roy and Danny Syvret from the Hamilton Bulldogs. In addition, the Montreal Canadiens have reassigned goaltender Jaroslav Halak from Hamilton to the Long Beach Ice Dogs. The Bulldogs closed out the 2005-06 season last night with a 6-5 win over the Toronto Marlies.

Jacques, a 20-year-old rookie, finished fourth on Hamilton in scoring with 44 points (24g-20a) in 65 games.

Roy, 22, played in 50 games for Hamilton this season, collecting 19 points (3g-16a) and 82 penalty minutes. Syvret, also a 20-year-old rookie, posted 20 assists and 38 penalty minutes in 62 games with the Bulldogs this season.

Halak, 20, played 13 games for Hamilton, earning a record of 7-6-0, with a 2.29 goals-against average, a 0.927 save percentage, and three shutouts. In 20 games with the Ice Dogs this season, the native of Bratislava, Slovakia, posted a record of 11-4-2, with a 2.05 goals-against average and a 0.932 save percentage.
