Chester, Pa. (March 31, 2015) - ACME will become the official supermarket of the Philadelphia Union, the club announced Tuesday, with the deal featuring the company at the Keystone Level. ACME will also serve as the Official Supermarket of PPL Park, Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer and Delaware Youth Soccer.

ACME has served the area since 1891 and currently operates 107 stores in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland employing more than 10,000 associates.

"We're thrilled to partner with such a trusted, local brand in ACME," Union CEO and Operating Partner Nick Sakiewicz said. "We continue to align ourselves with only the best local and regional organizations who make an impact here in our home. We are honored and proud to join forces with ACME to engage consumers throughout the region at the grassroots level and at PPL Park."

As the official supermarket, ACME will become more actively involved with the Philadelphia Union and its affiliates.

In 2015, the Philadelphia Union and ACME will offer free membership to the Juniors Supporters Club, enabling fans to receive the team-s newsletter, a membership card, official Philadelphia Union items and a voucher to attend an open practice.

"ACME is excited and honored to be partnered with the Philadelphia Union," President of ACME Markets Dan Croce said. "Both brands make perfect sense to be aligned as they are both committed to the communities we serve. We look forward to the future partnership and providing meaningful food solutions to Philadelphia Union fans".

As part of the Philadelphia Union Gym Class Takeover program, sponsored by ACME, Philadelphia Union players and technical staff will take over gym class at three local schools. The team will run soccer and fitness drills with the children during gym class and provide the school with soccer specific equipment.

Fans will also gain the opportunity to camp out on PPL Park-s field after a regular season match for the two U CAMP OUT events, sponsored by ACME.
