METAIRIE, LA-Torrential rain showers that postponed the series opener struck again Monday night, prompting a cancellation of tonight's scheduled series finale between the Reno Aces and New Orleans Zephyrs.
The game will not be made up.
The rainout gives the Aces a series sweep, their second of the season.
Reno now heads to Oklahoma City to kick-off a four-game set with the RedHawks. In the opener, RHP Cesar Valdez (4-8, 5.35 ERA) toes the slab for Reno, while Oklahoma City will counter with RHP Guillermo Moscoso (7-5, 5.26). First pitch is set for 5:05 p.m. PT at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark, and all the action can be heard live on Fox Sports Radio 1450 AM or online at RenoAces.com.
Reno returns home Saturday, August 21, for a four-game series against Tacoma.
