Alexandria, LA - Harlingen WhiteWings (1-1) shortstop Candelario Perez bobbled Jose Umbria's slow chopper with runners on second and third and two outs in the 11th to allow Bryan Sabatella to score, giving the Alexandria Aces (1-1) a 4-3 walk-off win in the completion of last night's suspended game at Bringhurst Field today.

The regularly scheduled game, which will now last seven innings, featuring WhtieWings right-hander James Beever and Aces right-hander Angel Garcia, will begin in at about 7:25 p.m.

Todd Lutz (0-1) walked Sabatella to start the 11th before giving up a single to Patrick O'Sullivan. Palmer Karr Jr. followed with a sacrifice bunt to set-up the win.

Felipe Garcia (1-0) got the win with two perfect innings of relief.

The WhiteWings were leading 3-2 entering the ninth, but Caleb Balbuena allowed a two-out RBI-single to Luis Guance to score O'Sullivan who reached on an error. Guance stole second and Madison Edwards had a count of 0-2 on him when the game was stopped due to unplayable field conditions.

There was also a 19-minute rain delay in the top ninth when the game was tied 2-2.

Kevin Griffin got things going in the second against Alexis Sosa by hitting a two-run home run after David Fowler reached on an infield single to make it 2-0 WhiteWings.

The Aces finally broke through against Jorge Lugo in the bottom of the sixth when O'Sullivan and Palmer Karr Jr. led off with singles. After a fielder's choice, Edwards hit a sacrifice fly to drive in O'Sullivan and make it 2-1.

Lugo ended up going five and two-thirds innings, allowing one run on four hits with two walks and seven strikeouts.

He was matched pitch for pitch by Sosa, who went eight innings, allowing two runs on five hits with two walks while striking out 11.

Neither pitcher would get a decision, though, as the Aces tied the game in the eighth against Dan Ziegler on a Blake Butler RBI-single.
