Aces Score in Every Inning in Win Over Wings

Alexandria, LA - The Alexandria Aces (2-1) scored in all six-innings of tonight's scheduled seven-inning game against the Harlingen WhiteWings (1-2) to win 10-1 at Bringhurst Field.

The Aces scored right off the bat against James Beever (0-1) as Blake Butler reached on an infield single and Homey Ovalles homered down the right field line, his first hit of the season, to make it 2-0.

In the bottom of the second, Madison Edwards singled and Albert Gonzalez doubled. Eddie Fitzpatrick followed with an RBI-single, and there batters later, Patrick O'Sullivan hit an RBI-single as well to make it 4-0.

In the bottom of the third, Edwards hit a one-out single and Gonzalez followed with a double. One out later, Fitzpatrick reached on an error to score Edwards. Butler then hit an RBI-double to knock out Beever and make it 7-0 Aces.

Bobby Darling came in and got out of the inning, but he couldn't stop the Aces machine either.

Bryan Sabatella led off the fourth with a double and scored on a Palmer Karr Jr. sacrifice fly to make it 8-0.

Jose Umbria scored on a Buter RBI-single to make it 9-0 in the fifth.

The WhiteWings scored their lone run against Angel Guzman (1-0) in the sixth as Miguel Peguero hit a one-out single and scored on Argelis Nunez's two-out double.

In the bottom of the inning, though, Karr was hit by a pitch and later scored on an Umbria RBI-single to make it 10-1.

Guzman was dominant in the complete game victory, striking out nine while allowing just six hits and one walk.

The WhiteWings will be back in action tomorrow night at Laredo at 7:35 p.m. Dan Valentin will make his first start for the WhiteWings since 2003.
