RENO, Nev.- Luke Carlin went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs as the Aces won their sixth-straight game, defeating the Fresno Grizzlies 8-6 Sunday night at Aces Ballpark.

Reno trailed 1-0 before exploding for five third-inning runs. In the third, Brandon Watson led off with a walk, followed by a Taylor Harbin double. Carlin then stepped to the plate and belted a three-run homer to deep right-center field. The Aces tacked on two more in the frame to take a 5-1 lead they would never relinquish.

Tony Barnette (14-8) won for a PCL-leading 14th time this season, hurling eight innings, striking out five. The 14 wins is also a new career-high for the 25-year-old right-hander. Doug Slaten pitched the ninth to earn his ninth save of the season.

Reno knocked around Fresno starter Matt Kinney (8-14) for five earned runs in three innings, handing him the loss.

In addition to Carlin's big night at the plate, Harbin extended his hitting streak to five games with his third-inning double. Harbin has hit safely in every game since joining the Aces. Josh Whitesell and Abraham Nunez each had two hits for Reno.

Reno looks for the series sweep Monday afternoon in the final game of the 2009 season. The Aces will send RHP Abe Woody (1-2, 7.94 ERA) to the mound for his first start of the season. Fresno will counter with LHP Steve Hammond (11-11, 5.39 ERA).

Monday's game is Fan Appreciation Day at Aces Ballpark, with 2,500 fans receiving a bobblehead of the popular singing baseball. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT.
