Aces Snatch Series Finale on Sánchez's Walk-Off Free Pass

Reno, NV - Ali Sánchez drove in the game winning run with a bases loaded walk in a 4-3 extra-innings Reno Aces (21-18, 65-49) victory over the Salt Lake Bees (15-24, 52-61) Sunday afternoon at Greater Nevada Field.

Reno trailed 1-0 until the sixth, when Pavin Smith lined a single to right to spark a one out rally. Phillip Evans and Sánchez each banged two baggers off the left center field wall to score the game tying and go ahead runs. Smith had multiple hits while Sánchez added two singles, a double, and the walk-off walk. The Aces entered the game hitting a Minor League leading .348 from the clean up spot, and Evans kept that number chugging with the double.

Nabil Crismatt held Salt Lake to one run over five stingy innings. Crismatt struck out five and walked none, delivering one of his best starts of the season for the Aces. Crismatt turned the ball to Konnor Pilkington, who fired a scoreless inning. The Bees tied the game in the ninth on a Jack López RBI double that forced the game to the bottom of the ninth. Kyle Lewis drove in the tying run on a base hit to right in the 1-th before Sánchez trotted to first for the win.

The Aces have won 10 of 12 contests in August and secured five wins for the second series in a row. Now on a four-game winning streak with the best home offense in Minor League Baseball, Reno will remain at Greater Nevada Field for a six-game series with the Las Vegas Aviators. The set begins Tuesday night at 6:35 p.m. PT. Wolf Pack night (Friday) and Military Appreciation Night (Saturday) are on deck.
