ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana- Alexandria's Derrick Pyles and Nick Mahin led the offensive charge as the Alexandria Aces (2-4) powered past the RGV WhiteWings 18-10 Wednesday night at Bringhurst Field.

Ace's Derrick Pyles and Nick Mahin hit for a combined 6-for-8, collecting five RBI's along with two home runs. The middle of the order scored twelve runs as the Aces scored five runs in the third inning as they slugged their way to a victory.

Aaron Gates continued his hot streak, hitting his second homerun of the series (2) Thomas Shull collected three hits for RGV.

RGV made it interesting as they clawed their way back with runs in the sixth and seventh inning but it wasn't enough as Leo Madrid got his first win (1-0) of the year, and Antony Bello was charged with his second loss of the year (0-2).

Game three of this four game series is set for 7:05 p.m. as RGV sends Ray Hanson to the mound to face Alexandria's Ryan Zimmerman.
