Reno Aces News Release

RENO, Nev. - Every position player in the starting lineup for Reno got a hit on Tuesday night, as the Aces mounted a 10-1 win over the Tucson Padres at Kino Stadium.

The Aces combined for 15 hits on the night, including a 3-for-4 performance by catcher Tuffy Gosewisch who was optioned to Reno yesterday. Reno posted a five run third inning, aided in part by two Tucson errors.

Willie Bloomquist, in continuation of his Major League Rehab Assignment with the Aces, went 1-for-3 with an RBI. He has successfully recorded a hit in each of the six games he has played in for Reno this season.

In his return from the disabled list, Chris Owings went 1-for-5 with a run scored. Earlier today, it was announced that Owings has been named the 2013 Pacific Coast League Rookie of the Year.

Reno starter Nate Adcock threw 4.0 hitless innings allowing just a run and a walk, but did not qualify for the win. Matt Wright was credited with his third win of the season, shutting out the Padres over 2.0 innings, allowing just three hits and striking out three.

The series continues Wednesday night at Kino Stadium. RHP Mike Bolsinger (6-6, 4.40 ERA) will get the nod for Reno, while the Padres will counter with former Aces LHP Robbie Erlin (8-3, 5.07 ERA). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and all of the action can be heard live on KPLY 630 AM.
