Aces Roll Over Bees 13-5

The Reno Aces scored early and often as they rolled to a 13-5 win over the Salt Lake Bees on Thursday night. Reno jumped on Salt Lake starter Jhonathan Diaz for three runs on four consecutive hits to open the bottom of the first. The Bees came back with one run in the second inning on an RBI single by Zach Humphreys and then tied the game at 3-3 on a two-run homer by Trey Cabbage in the third inning. Reno would answer with three runs in the bottom of the third and take the lead for good.

Diaz (7-1) suffered his first loss on his roughest outing as a starter, as he went four and one-third innings and allowed nine runs, eight earned, on eleven hits with two strikeouts and one walk. Cabbage had a big night at the plate with four hits and three runs batted in, while Humphreys added two hits and one RBI.
