
Aces Megan Gustafson Leads Spain with 16 Points, Keeps Olympic Hopes Alive

Aces center Megan Gustafson had another impressive outing for Spain (1-1), scoring a team-high 16 points on 6-of-10 from the field and 2-of-3 from beyond the arc in 22 minutes, to lead the Spanish squad to a 60-55 victory over Canada (1-1) on Friday afternoon in Sopron, Hungary.
The win kept Spain in contention for one of the three Olympic berths out of its four-team tournament in Hungary, and it will face the hosts (1-1) in their must-win third and final game of the weekend on February 11 at 8:30 am PT. Hungary defeated Japan (1-1) 81-75 in today's second game.
