
Aces Duo Help USA Collect Lopsided 100-46 Win over Nigeria

With the aid of Aces guards Kelsey Plum and Jackie Young, the USA Basketball Women's National Team (2-0) earned a 100-46 victory over Nigeria (1-1) at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament on Friday evening in Antwerp, Belgium. Plum dished out a game-high 9 assists to go with 5 points in 16 minutes, while Young, who played 15 minutes, had 11 points and 3 rebounds.
A total of four U.S. players scored in double figures in the well-rounded team effort, led by Jewell Loyd's 18 points.
The USA outscored Nigeria 32-7 in the second quarter to virtually put the game out of reach by halftime, 51-20.
The USA, which earned its Olympic berth by virtue of claiming gold at the 2022 FIBA World Cup, concludes this weekend's tournament against Senegal (0-1) on February 11 at 10:15 am PT. Fans in the USA can watch on Courtside1891.basketball.
