Aces Edge Past Rainiers for 8-6 Win

Reno, Nev. - In a back-and-forth battle, a two-run seventh inning was the deciding factor as the Reno Aces (43-40) seized an 8-6 victory over the Tacoma Rainiers (35-47) Saturday night in front of 6,000 attendees at Greater Nevada Field.

With the game tied at six in the seventh frame, the Aces collected a pair of runs highlighted by an RBI single from Seth Beer for an 8-6 advantage.

Reno's bullpen was lockdown over the final two innings as J.B. Bukauskas, and Kevin Ginkel tossed a pair of perfect frames and fanned five batters.

Stone Garrett recorded his Pacific Coast League-leading 21st homer of the season with a two-run shot in the fifth to cap off a six-run inning.

Stone Garrett: 1-for-3, HR, 2 RBI.

Wilmer Difo: 3-for-5, 2 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, SB and extended his hitting streak to eight games.
