The Grizzlies evened the score at the 2:12 mark when Louis Dumont found Scott Basiuk for his third goal of the season. Then the Aces' power play went back to work. This time it was Talbot with the goal, at 13:35, with Leavitt and Gaucher picking up helpers on the 5-on-3 advantage. Just over a minute later, Mike Scott scored his 27th of the season, also on the power play, and Gaucher and Leavitt increased their point totals to three each on the night. The Aces weren't finshed just yet, Talbot found the net for the second time of the game at the 16:51 mark of the second period to make it 4-1 Alaska at the end of two periods.
