July 11, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
New Jersey rode Jackson Crowther for eight solid shutout innings to convincingly defeat the Aces 11-1.
Crowther allowed just two hits and three walks in eight innings, striking out three to pick up the win. Chris Rowan had a monster night for the Jackals, hitting 2-3 with 2 homeruns, three runs scored, three RBI, and a walk. The Jackals wasted no time getting on the board, scoring four runs in the second inning to open a 4-0 lead. They added another four runs by the fifth, and three more late to hold an 11-0 lead going into the bottom of the ninth.
The Aces simply couldn't get any offense going today, scoring their lone run in the bottom of the ninth off of a Steve Larkin RBI single to make it 11-1.
