
Bangor can't stay with North Shore

With a 10-6 victory over the Bangor Lumberjacks, the North Shore Spirit clinched the first half title for the North division. The Spirit survived a six-run explosion in the seventh by the âJacks, answering with two in ther eighth and four in the ninth to take back the lead.
Mike Granger keyed the ninth-inning rally with a pinch-hit, two-run double. Gary Bell got his second win despite giving up three earned runs over two innings. Rob Fischer led the Spirit, going 2-for-5 with a homer and two batted in. Frank Charles collected two hits for North Shore, while Derry Hammond led the âJacks with a homer and two RBIs.
