Aces Announce Game Change

August 6, 2008 - United League Baseball (ULB) - Alexandria Aces News Release

Alexandria, LA; August 6, 2008- The Alexandria Aces of United League Baseball (ULB) today announced they have scheduled a doubleheader on Saturday, August 16th versus the Laredo Broncos and canceled their regularly scheduled season finale on Sunday, August 17th.

The change in schedule will allow for the team to have a day off prior to the start of the 2008 ULB playoffs, which are slated to begin on Monday, August 18th.

Game time for the doubleheader is set for 6:05 pm.

Gates will open early at 3:30 pm as the Alexandria Police Department will square off against the Alexandria Fire Department in the "Guns vs. Hoses" charity softball game, which will benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

On this night, the first 500 kids through the front gate will receive a 2008 Aces Team Photo courtesy of The Town Talk, KSYL and KISS FM. Following the completion of the second game of the doubleheader, Aces players will be on the field to sign autographs for all fans.
