Academy Update: Inter Miami CF U-19s Clinch the UPSL Florida South Division Title in First Season

The Inter Miami CF Academy presented by Baptist Health recently added more silverware to its trophy cabinet courtesy of the U-19 team, which in its first year since being incorporated won the UPSL Florida South Division title.

The Florida South Division final was played this past Saturday, June 24 at DRV PNK Stadium and featured a matchup between Inter Miami and City Soccer FC, with the Club's U-19 side ultimately winning 3-1 to clinch the title on home ground.

The team initially finished fifth in the standings in the UPSL Florida South Division regular season with an overall record of seven wins, four losses and two draws for a total of 23 points. Subsequently, the U19 boys topped Homestead FC 3-1 in semifinals and defeated City Soccer FC in the final in the knockout stages to clinch the title in the team's inaugural campaign. Notably, forward Ian Nuñez led the team in goals, registering 10 goals throughout the season.
