The quarterback is named CFL Player of the Week for a third time this year
Montreal, August 26, 2003 - The most dominating quarterback in the CFL Anthony Calvillo was named Offensive Player of the Week for a third time this year.
In the Alouettes' ninth win of the season over the Toronto Argonauts, Calvillo had a near-perfect game, as he completed 28 of 34 passes for gains of 438 yards and four touchdown passes.
Calvillo is probably the leading candidate for the CFL Most Valuable Player. Since the start of the season, he completed 218 of 356 passes for gains of 3,412 yards. His most revealing statistic may be his total of 24 touchdown passes against only four interceptions.
