
Aberdeen Downs Bismarck in Overtime, 5-4 (OT)

Kyle Haak gave the Aberdeen Wings a 5-4 (OT) victory over the Bismarck Bobcats when he scored 1:05 into the extra period.
Bismarck could not complete its climb out of a two-goal hole. Aberdeen made the score 4-2 on a goal by TJ Roo at 9:26 in the third period. The Bobcats pulled to within 4-3 on a power play goal by Nate Repensky at 18:19 in the third period.
Haak was all over the ice for the Wings, as he grabbed two goals in the win.
Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals. The 31 shots that Aberdeen put on net surpassed the Wings' average of 27.6 shots per game this season.
Aberdeen also got points from Roo, who also had one goal and one assist. Aberdeen also got a goal from Jake Horton as well. In addition, Aberdeen received assists from Jordan Heller, who had three.
Bismarck's defense was uncharacteristically lax during the game. The Bobcats are averaging 2.3 goals against for the season. Bismarck put 43 shots on net during the contest, more than the 28.1 it averages per game.
The Bobcats were helped by Brendan Harris, who tallied one goal. Harris scored 6:03 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Tyler Dunagan assisted on the tally. Bismarck additionally got points from Repensky, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Dunagan, who also grabbed one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Matt Anders also scored for Bismarck. Other players who recorded assists for Bismarck were Mason Van Tuyl, Filip Starzynski, and Cullen Willox, who contributed one a piece.
Chad Catt rejected 39 shots on goal for Aberdeen. The Wings incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Bismarck's Aaron Nelson stopped 26 shots out of the 31 that he faced. The Bobcats incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
