ABA mourns loss of Burrel Lee, Jr.
March 16, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Indianapolis, IN. The entire ABA family extends its condolences to the family of Burrel Lee III, coach of the Orange County Buzz for the loss of his father, Burrel Lee Jr. On Feb 26th, Mr. Lee saw his first and only ABA game and the only game he ever saw his son coach. Even though he had to leave at halftime, he told Burrel, "Burrel, leave those referees alone and concentrate on winning the game." Coach Lee said in tribute to his Dad, "This will be forever with me whenever I take the sideline." In Coach Lee's time of mourning, he added, "I have to say thank you because without you and the ABA he would have never had the chance to see his son coach." Burrel. Thank you. Our prayers and thoughts are with you.
