Vision vs. Buffalo Rapids kicks off March Madness

ATLANTA, GA - March 16, 2006 - The highly anticipated match-up between Atlanta Vision and Buffalo Rapids kicks off Friday night, March 17th at 7:30pm at the beautiful Samson's Center. Buffalo Rapids are the winners of the first round ABA play off with a landslide victory over the Boston Frenzy, 133 to 88. The Rapids are known for their quick style of play and had five players scoring in the double digits. Rapids are led by ABA All-Star guard Tim Winn, guard Antoine Sims, and 6'11 center, Johnny Tyson.

The Atlanta Vision ABA Divisional Champions are well rested, focused, and ready for battle. The Vision will look for leadership from ABA All-Star, Cedric McGinnis, who recently scored 45 points with a win against the Mississippi Miracles setting a new franchise record. And 1 legend, Robert '50" Martin, must provide veteran direction while Kellen 'High Percentage" Miliner must showcase his 3-point accuracy to compete with the Rapids fire. Kendrick Jones, Stanley Jackson, Atiba Prater, Trenton Eager, and Emmanuel Jackson are all talented Vision scoring contributors that have established a team chemistry that will be hard to beat. Dennis Scott, Atlanta Vision General Manager, states, 'This win will require a collective effort from all players and fans."

Atlanta Vision will enjoy St. Patty's Day with playoff intensity and great entertainment. Special guest, Jay L , will be singing the National Anthem and performing at half-time. Jay L won first place at the world famous Apollo Theater and is an up and coming R&B artist in the Atlanta area. The lovely ladies of the Atlanta Vision Dance Team will be performing throughout the night and are always a crowd favorite. Edward 'Young Dirty" Long, host of Good Life Radio and The Voice of The Atlanta Vision, will add to the fun with exciting play-by-play game action commentating. Friday night's theme is SENIOR VISION NIGHT where all fans over the age of 60 get in the game for only $1. In addition, the first 100 fans to purchase an adult ticket for the game will receive 'Stampede Sticks" courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings, the Official Wild Wings of the Atlanta Vision.

Atlanta Vision will play their ABA Championship Playoff game on March 17th at The Samson's Center, 6400 Woodrow Road - Lithonia, Georgia 30038. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets early and see why the Vision was recently named 'Atlanta's Best Value in Sports Entertainment." Doors open at 7:00pm and tip-off is at 7:35pm. Online tickets are now on sale. Playoff ticket prices include free parking and are $5 for students, $10 for Adults, $15 for Floor seats, $20 for VIP seats, while fans 6 and under are free. Dennis Scott, Coach Whitted, and all Atlanta Vision players will be available for a special autograph session after the game.
