ABA names Director of Financial Planning

March 16, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today named Bob Bechtold, CFP, CSA as Director of Financial Planning for the league. In naming Bechtold, Joe Newman, ABA CEO said, "Bob has an extraordinary background in financial planning and has helped the league, some of its teams and players on a personal basis. Bob works closely with Herman Meury, CPA and ABA CFO. We thought it would be good to do something officially and offer his services on a wider scale."

"I am very honored to be a part of the ABA. Basketball has been my passion; I've been working with the Indiana Alley Cats and have enjoyed the relationship with them and several other ABA teams. I told Joe that I thought I could be helpful leaguewide, and now, I have the opportunity to do just that," added Bechtold. "I'm ready to go."

A graduate of the College of New Jersey with a BS in Business Administration, Bechtold is a Certified Financial Planner, a Certified Senior Advistor, a stock broker, a registered investment advisor agent, a mortgage broker, tax accountant, and an insurance asset protection specialist.
